What Are the International Brilliance Awards

What Are the International Brilliance Awards™?

The Global Standard for Organisational Brilliance, Strategic Innovation, and Purposeful Growth.

Updated: 18 April 2026

The International Brilliance Awards™ are a globally recognised business awards programme celebrating outstanding achievement across industries, disciplines, and borders. Founded in 2014 and part of the Brilliance Awards™ family — the original home of global business recognition, the International Brilliance Awards™ have grown over 13 years into one of the most respected and credible recognition platforms in the world.

The programme honours organisations, teams, and individuals whose work delivers real impact, genuine innovation, and measurable results. Every entry is assessed through a 100% independent blind judging process — ensuring that recognition is based purely on the quality of the work, not the size or reputation of the organisation behind it.

Now in their 13th year, the International Brilliance Awards™ bring together outstanding businesses and professionals from across the world each year, culminating in a prestigious black-tie gala ceremony in London.

The International Brilliance Awards™ are operated by BOC Global Events and Training Group — a registered UK company with a verifiable history predating the programme itself. They are not affiliated with any other awards programme or organisation operating under a similar name.

The International Brilliance Awards™ in Numbers

The scale, reach, and credibility of the International Brilliance Awards™ is reflected in 13 years of documented, independently verifiable delivery:

  • 13+ years of uninterrupted recognition since 2014
  • 1,000+ organisations recognised across all programmes
  • 32+ countries represented by participants worldwide
  • 50+ industries covered across all award categories
  • 25+ expert judges per cycle drawn from leading global organisations
  • 100% independent blind judging — every entry, every year, no exceptions

These are not estimates or projections. Every figure represents real organisations, real entries, and real recognition delivered through a process that has remained consistent since the programme launched in 2014.

Six Award Programmes. One Standard of Excellence.

The International Brilliance Awards™ sit at the heart of a wider family of sector-specific programmes — each designed to recognise excellence within its own distinct discipline, assessed to the same rigorous independent standard:

Business Brilliance Awards – Recognising outstanding leadership, strategy, innovation, sustainability, and organisational performance. For organisations and individuals setting new standards in business excellence.

HR Brilliance Awards – Celebrating excellence in human resources, people strategy, employee engagement, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and workplace culture. For the teams and leaders transforming how organisations think about their people.

IC Brilliance Awards – Honouring the best in internal communications, employee experience, change communications, intranet innovation, and organisational storytelling. For the professionals connecting organisations from within.

Sales & Revenue Brilliance Awards™ – Honouring the strategic powerhouses and high-performance teams driving commercial growth — recognising excellence in sales execution, revenue strategy, and the innovative leadership that powers the global bottom line

Sustainability & ESG Brilliance Awards™ Celebrating the pioneers of purposeful growth — recognising excellence in environmental stewardship, social impact, and the transparent governance that defines the world’s most responsible and resilient organisations.

How the Judging Works and Why It Matters

Every entry submitted to the International Brilliance Awards™ is assessed through a 100% independent blind judging process. This approach has been in place since the programme launched in 2014 — and it is what separates the International Brilliance Awards™ from the majority of business awards programmes operating today.

Before any judge reads a submission, all identifying details are removed — company name, logo, location, and any other information that could identify the submitting organisation. What remains is the work itself, assessed purely on its quality, impact, and delivery against published judging criteria.

Our judging panel consists of 25+ named, verifiable senior industry professionals drawn from organisations including Microsoft, Nokia, PwC, Cisco, Apple, and Tata Consultancy Services. Judges are selected for their expertise, independence, and ability to assess work fairly and consistently across industries and regions. They are publicly associated with the programme named on our website and verifiable through their own professional profiles.

This means that a small organisation with outstanding work has exactly the same chance of winning as a global corporation with an established brand.

Recognition through the International Brilliance Awardsis earned not purchased, not awarded by default, and not influenced by the reputation of the organisation behind the entry.
