The Brilliance Awards Logo Is Now a Registered Trademark

The Brilliance Awards logo is now officially registered as a trademark, formalising protection for the visual identity of a brand that has recognised achievement across business, leadership, innovation and organisational performance since 2014.

Trademark registration applies to the Brilliance Awards logo itself, protecting the visual mark and giving the brand a legally secured identity as it continues to expand. You will see the ® symbol used alongside the logo across the website, entry platforms, certificates and communications.

The International Brilliance Awards logo, the flagship programme within the Brilliance Awards family, is also a registered trademark. Together, this gives the two core visual identities of the brand formal legal protection as the programmes continue to grow across more than 32 countries and 50 industries.

Why Trademark Protection Matters for an Awards Brand

Awards programmes are built on trust. Organisations and individuals submit their work for independent, blind judging on the understanding that the recognition they receive carries genuine credibility. Registering the logo is one of the practical steps that underpins that credibility: it protects the visual identity behind the recognition, so a Brilliance Awards win is instantly identifiable and cannot be mistaken for another programme’s.

Looking Ahead

Trademark registration is one part of a longer process of building the Brilliance Awards brand into a recognisable, independently governed awards family, alongside the Awards Trust Mark, Outstanding held by the International Brilliance Awards and the blind judging process applied to every entry. The purpose behind the programmes stays the same: recognising organisations and individuals whose results, leadership and innovation earn genuine, evidenced recognition.

About the International Brilliance Awards™

Founded in 2014, the International Brilliance Awards™ recognise work defined by clear thinking, strong execution, and meaningful business impact across organisations worldwide.

The International Brilliance Awards™ serve as the flagship programme of the Brilliance Awards family, which includes Business Brilliance Awards, HR Brilliance Awards, Internal Communications (IC) Brilliance Awards, Marketing & PR Brilliance Awards, Sales & Revenue Brilliance Awards, and Sustainability & ESG Brilliance Awards.

Each programme focuses on a distinct area of organisational performance, while maintaining a consistent standard of evaluation through an independent, blind judging process.
