Graham Shapiro Design (GSD®): Turning Creative Vision into Life-Saving Innovation

Brilliance Award Winner – Entrepreneur of the Year, 2026: Graham Shapiro
Gold Award Winner – Product Innovation, 2026: Reggie® Fire Drill, GSD®
Silver Award Winner – Best UK Business, 2026: Graham Shapiro Design (GSD®)

Winning the International Brilliance Award™ for Entrepreneur of the Year means a lot. Thirty years ago, I started my business with a mission: create impactful visual communication for global brands that demand excellence. To be recognised at this level after three decades validates every risk taken, every late night and every leap of faith along the way.

Working with some of the world’s most respected companies is an incredible privilege, but it is our recent evolution into life-saving technology that makes this award so deeply personal. Developing Reggie® Fire Drill, the world’s first GPS check-in/check-out fire drill application, was our boldest step yet. When Phil Garrigan OBE KFSM of the National Fire Chiefs Council declared that “Reggie® will save lives,” it confirmed we had created something truly meaningful. Winning this award amplifies that message to an even wider audience.

It also shines a light on The Graham Shapiro Foundation and our work supporting mental health and young entrepreneurs, something that matters enormously to me.

But this award belongs to my incredible colleagues, clients and collaborators who’ve trusted us with their vision over the years.

As the great Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple, once said: “Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.
